Astrya Global, a San Diego–based medical staffing agency, is looking for a Physician Assistant for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established Federally Qualified Health Center in Hawthorne, CA. This role focuses on providing primary and preventative care to underserved and uninsured populations in a collaborative outpatient setting.

Qualifications of Family Medicine Physician Assistant:

  • Active California Physician Assistant license

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program  

  • Strong commitment to serving underserved patient populations 

  • Prior primary care or outpatient experience preferred 

  • CA DEA Certification 

  • PA Board Certification

  • Controlled Substance Certification 

Duties of Family Medicine Physician Assistant:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services in an outpatient setting 

  • Manage a patient load of approximately 20–22 patients per day 

  • Perform routine check-ups, preventative care, and chronic disease management 

  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions 

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests 

  • Prescribe medications and manage ongoing care plans 

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team including physicians, specialists, and behavioral health providers 

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation 

  • Deliver culturally competent, patient-centered care
