Qualifications of Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner:

• Current CA, NP License

• Board Certified

• BLS, ACLS Certifications

• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems

• Covid Vaccination

Duties/Responsibilities of Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner:

• Conduct initial GI consultations and follow-up appointments.

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of gastrointestinal conditions.

• Review pathology, lab, and imaging results and discuss findings with patients.

• Provide medication management and adjust treatment plans as needed.

• Manage patient messages, test results, and referrals through EPIC.

• Coordinate care with gastroenterologists, primary care providers, and other specialists.

• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care.

• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

• Support continuity of care through ongoing patient follow-up and monitoring.
