Case Commitment: Approximately 12–20 hours per case
Term: 6 Months
Shift Schedule: On-call; fill in when the regularly scheduled psychiatrist has a conflict
Pay Rate: $315/hr
Astrya Global is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide Incompetence to Stand Trial (IST) evaluations and related psychiatric services in an on-call capacity. The psychiatrist will provide coverage as needed when the regularly scheduled psychiatrist is unavailable or has a scheduling conflict.

Qualifications of Psychiatrist:
MD or DO with an active California medical license.
Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
Active PAVE registration is required.
Experience conducting competency evaluations, forensic psychiatry assessments, or working with justice-involved populations preferred.
Ability to provide on-site services in Weaverville, California.
Strong clinical documentation and communication skills.
Duties/Responsibilities of Psychiatrist:
Conduct psychiatric evaluations related to Incompetence to Stand Trial.
Assess individuals' mental health, cognitive functioning, and competency-related needs.
Prepare thorough clinical evaluations and documentation.
Provide professional opinions and recommendations regarding competency to stand trial.
Collaborate with legal, clinical, and facility staff as appropriate.
Complete approximately 12–20 hours of work per case, depending on case needs.
Provide coverage on an as-needed basis during the 26-week contract.
