Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency is looking for Radiology Technologists that will float between detention centers in San Diego, CA. The Radiology Technologist will provide diagnostic imaging — including annual TB screening — across multiple San Diego County detention facilities.

Qualifications of a Radiology Technologist:

  • Current, unrestricted CRT license (CDPH-RHB)

  • Valid CPR/BLS card

  • 1+ year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting

  • Valid CA driver's license, current auto insurance, reliable transportation — regular travel between facilities required

  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance at all assigned San Diego County Sheriff's Office facilities

  • Ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force; stand/walk as needed; regular driving between sites

  • Preferred: AART registration

  • Preferred: Correctional healthcare experience

Duties/Responsibilities of a Radiology Technologist:

  • Perform diagnostic X-rays and annual TB screenings.

  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Rotate between assigned detention facilities.

  • Verify patient identity and explain procedures.

  • Document exams in the electronic health record (EHR).

  • Coordinate daily imaging schedules.

  • Maintain radiology equipment and supplies.

  • Follow radiation safety and infection control standards.

  • Protect patient privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance.

  • Collaborate with providers and facility staff.

  • Ensure compliance with state and County requirements.

  • Support quality improvement and accreditation standards.

  • Adapt to changing priorities and facility needs.
