Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring Optometrists for a medical facility in Fresno, California. These positions are 3-month locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.

Qualifications of Optometrist:

  • Active California Physician License

  • BLS Certification

  • DEA Certification

  • Board Certified

Duties/Responsibilities of Optometrist:

  • Perform comprehensive routine eye exams for patients ages 4+

  • Conduct contact lens fittings and provide patient education on lens care

  • Evaluate and manage eye urgencies and non-surgical emergencies

  • Provide medical optometry services, including diagnosis and treatment of common ocular conditions

  • Frequently dilate patients for thorough retinal and ocular health evaluations

  • Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records

  • Educate patients on preventive eye care, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations

  • No surgical procedures required
