Qualifications of Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW):
Current California LCSW License
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Duties/Responsibilities of Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW):
Assess the social, emotional, and economic needs of inmates, including substance abuse, mental health, housing, and employment
Assist inmates with re-entry planning, including securing housing, employment, and community resources
Respond to and intervene in crisis situations, such as inmate disturbances, self-harm, and suicide attempts
Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and case managers
Work to ensure that inmates have access to appropriate services and support
