Astrya Global, a San Diego-based medical staffing agency, is seeking a Primary Care Physician (FM or IM) for an outpatient clinic in Fountain Valley, CA. This is a full-time locum tenens position with a minimum expected commitment of 2–3 months. Local providers are strongly preferred, and prior Epic EMR experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications of Primary Care Physician:

• Board Certification preferred, but not required

• Must have an active, unrestricted California medical license

• DEA certification required

• BLS or ACLS required

• At least 2 years of outpatient primary care and travel experience required

• Familiarity with California medical rules/regulations preferred

• Prior experience with Epic EMR strongly preferred

• Ability to see all age groups (including pediatrics)

Duties/Responsibilities of Primary Care Physician:

• Provide outpatient primary care services to a patient panel of 18–20 patients per day

• Perform common primary care procedures (biopsies, sutures, etc.) if comfortable

• Deliver care across all age groups (pediatrics through geriatrics)

• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and charting (1 hour of admin time daily)

• Work collaboratively with a full support team (MAs, patient care associates, front office, and practice manager)

• Maintain compliance with facility protocols and quality standards

• Participate in team-based care and contribute to a culture of collaboration and excellence
